Palaeotriakis subserratus
Taxonomy
Paratriakis subserratus was named by Underwood and Ward (2008). Its type specimen is BMNH P.66407, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Overgrown quarry NNW of Boxford, which is in a Santonian carbonate chalk in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Palaeotriakis.
It was recombined as Palaeotriakis subserratus by Guinot et al. (2013).
