Parasquatina justinensis was named by Guinot et al. (2012). Its type specimen is University of Montpellier JUH1-4, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Justine-Herbigny (JUH), which is in a Turonian carbonate chalk in France.
