Taxonomy
Squalicorax microserratus was named by Cappetta et al. (2014). Its type specimen is University of Montpellier BEG-C6.33, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Level 6, tranchée d'essai, Benguérir, which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate marl in Morocco.
