Taxonomy
Ankystrorhynchus major was named by Cappetta and Case (1975). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hop Brook (HBR), which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian coastal sandstone in the Navesink Formation of New Jersey.
