Taxonomy
Dalmania calypso was named by Hall (1861). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sandusky, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Columbus Limestone Formation of Ohio.
It was recombined as Dalmanites calypso by Hall (1876); it was recombined as Trypaulites calypso by Delo (1935), Delo (1940), Stumm (1954).
