Rhiniopora spooneri
Taxonomy
Rhiniopora spooneri was named by Butler and Cheetham (1958). Its type specimen is L.S.U. Geology Museum, 1390 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rayburns dome , which is in a Campanian carbonate chalk in Louisiana.

Autozooecial orifices each with five distal spines. Differs from R. asperula (Marsson), its closest relative, in size of autozooecia, number of costulae, and orientation of avicuaria. |
