Elasmodus tsheganicus
Taxonomy
Elasmodus tsheganicus was named by Averianov (2001). Its type specimen is ZIN PC 1/51, a tooth (incomplete right palatine plate), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kolenkaly Mountains, between Emba River and Ustyurt, which is in a Priabonian/Rupelian coastal horizon in the Chegan Formation of Kazakhstan.
