Taxonomy
Panope shastacola was named by Anderson (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 1344, Old Horsetown, Clear Creek, which is in a Berriasian/Turonian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
