Taxonomy
Ganntouria variabilis was named by Noubhani and Cappetta (1997). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Youssoufia, recette 4, sillon X (YOU), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate phosphorite in Morocco. It is the type species of Ganntouria.
