Barrandeops forteyi
Taxonomy
Barrandeops forteyi was named by McKellar and Chatterton (2009) [= 1977 [partim] Phacops turco aff. praecedens Haas 1968; Fortey and Morris, p. 25-32, pl. 1-2 [non pl.I, fig. 7; pl. 2, fig. 3].]. Its type specimen is UA6942 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Talawarite, Psychopyge horizon, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in Morocco. It is the type species of Barrandeops.
