Taxonomy
Cretalamna hattini was named by Siversson et al. (2015). Its type specimen is LACM 128126, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACM 6068, Logan County, which is in a Santonian offshore ramp chalk in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas.
