It was recombined as Aucella piochii by Gabb (1869), Whiteaves (1882), Whiteaves (1887), Stanton (1894), Stanton (1895), Anderson (1945) and Imlay (1959); it was recombined as Aucella piochi by Anderson (1938); it was recombined as Buchia piochii by Stewart (1930) and Imlay (1961).
