Taxonomy
Chiloscyllium missouriensis was named by Case (1979). Its type specimen is MTA 39, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Suction Creek, which is in a Campanian estuary/bay sandstone in the Judith River Formation of Montana.
