Terebratella averilli
Taxonomy
Terebratella averilli was named by Anderson (1938). Its type specimen is CAS 8591, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CIT loc. 1347, Roaring River, which is in a Turonian/Coniacian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
It was recombined as Cyclothyris averilli by Murphy (1956).
