Hesslerides arcentensis

Taxonomy
Hesslerides arcentensis was named by Brezinski (2000). Its type specimen is CM 45996, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dead Mans Branch, Alamo Canyon, Lake Valley Formation, Arcente Member, Otero, which is in an Osagean offshore shelf lime mudstone/shale in the Lake Valley Formation of New Mexico.

D. K. Brezinski 2000Glabella constricted at intersection of S1 and dor- sal furrow, frontal lobe gibbous, meeting anterior margin. Border furrow flat, broad. Pygidium short, semicircular in outline, with anterior rib bands extending onto border, nearly to margin. Axis shouldered, terminal rib slightly inflated.
