W. W. Yuan et al. 2020 | A species of Chuanqianoproetus with a subtriangular pygidium, 61–75% as long as wide. On pygidium only anterior 6–7 axial rings and 4–6 pairs of pleurae can be indicated when cuticle preserved, while 11–13 axial rings and 8–9 pairs of pleurae be detected when preserved as internal mould. Preoccipital glabella is approximately trapezoidal, gently tapering forwards, with sides slightly inflated at S1, and weakly constricted opposite S2. Three pairs of lateral glabellar furrows shallow on the cuticular cranidium. Lateral occipital lobes large, completely isolated from occipital ring. Palpebral lobe large. Preocular facial suture between β and γ diverges from exsagittal line at 34–39°. Double pairs of apodemal depressions present along flanks of each pygidial axial ring. The dorsal exoskeletal surface is weakly granulose. |
