Taxonomy
Warburgella (Podolites) tcherkesovae was named by Maksimova (1970). Its type specimen is CNIGR 1/10321, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Warburgella tcherkesovae by Ivanova et al. (2009); it was misspelled as Warburgella (Warburgella) tcherkessovae by Lemke (2020).
