Sivatitanops

Taxonomy

Sivatitanops was named by Pilgrim (1925). It is not extant. Its type is Sivatitanops cotteri.

It was assigned to Brontotheridae by Carroll (1988) and Prothero and Schoch (1989).

Synonyms

Telmatherium birmanicum was named by Pilgrim and Cotter (1916). Its type specimen is GSI C315, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pakokku District, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar.

It was recombined as Sivatitanops birmanicum by Pilgrim (1925); it was considered a nomen dubium by Mihlbachler (2008).
