Pliodolops rothi
Taxonomy
Polydolops rothi was named by Simpson (1936). Its type specimen is MLP 11-122, a mandible (partial left mandibular ramus with alveoli of P2 and P3-M2 complete), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pan de Azucar, Gaiman, which is in an Eocene/Eocene terrestrial sandstone in Argentina.
It was recombined as Pliodolops rothi by Chornogubsky (2020).
