Taxonomy
Otodechenella convexa was named by Zhou et al. (2000). Its type specimen is XIG TR579, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is B013B. Zhusilenghaierhan area, which is in an Emsian marine sandstone in the Zhusileng Formation of China. It is the type species of Otodechenella.
