Taxonomy
Tanycythere wattonensis was named by Cabral et al. (2014). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SMF Xe 23081. Its type locality is 20 m below Boueti Bed, which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in the Frome Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
