Taxonomy
Chrysodomus packardi was named by Weaver (1916) [originally misspelled in text as "Chrysodomus packard," but correctly spelled in figure captions]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Galvin Station, which is in a Chattian offshore sandstone in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington.
