Gaimanlestes pascuali
Taxonomy
Gaimanlestes pascuali was named by Abello et al. (2021). Its type specimen is MPEF-PV 4849, a mandible (left mandibular fragment with m1-3 and alveolus for m4 (Fig.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southern Cliff of lower Chubut River Valley, near Gaiman, which is in a Colhuehuapian paralic mudstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Gaimanlestes.
