It was reranked as the subtribe Teleoceratina by Antoine et al. (2010).
It was assigned to Rhinocerotinae by Prothero and Schoch (1989), Cerdeno (1992); to Teleoceratinae by Prothero (1998); to Aceratheriinae by Antoine et al. (2000), Prothero (2005); to Rhinocerotini by Antoine et al. (2010); and to Rhinocerotidae by Sach and Heizmann (2001), Gustafson (2012), Short et al. (2019).
It was reranked as the subtribe Teleoceratina by Antoine et al. (2010).
