Taxonomy
Proetus zhusilengensis was named by Zhou et al. (2000). Its type specimen is XIG TR482, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is A026. Zhusilenghaierhan area, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone/siltstone in the Zhusileng Formation of China.
