Taxonomy
Eosoproetus laevigatus was named by Zhou et al. (2000). Its type specimen is XIG TR522 (librigena) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is C006. Zhusilenghaierhan area, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Yikewsusu Formation of China.
