Lophionotus sanjuanensis
Taxonomy
Lophionotus sanjuanensis was named by Gibson (2013). Its type specimen is AMNH 5680, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Little Valley fish locality, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian channel siltstone in the Chinle Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Lophionotus.
