Taxonomy
Cyrtosymbole (Macrobole) differtigena was named by Osmólska (1962) [Cyrtosymbole (?Macrobole) differtigena]. Its type specimen is IG. No. 17l.II.77c, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Karczówka, which is in a Tournaisian marine shale in the Radlin Formation of Poland.
It was recombined as Archegonus (Phillibole) differtigena by Hahn and Hahn (1965); it was recombined as Globusia differtigena by Osmólska (1973).
