Taxonomy
Solemya holmwoodensis was named by Dickins (1963). Its type specimen is UWA 45384, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Solemya (Janeia) holmwoodensis by Fang (1987); it was recombined as Acharax holmwoodensis by Bailey (2021).
