Taxonomy
Munidopsis kaedetatsuyai was named by Karasawa (2020). Its type specimen is MFM83084, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yatsuomachi, Higashibessho Formation, which is in a Langhian marine horizon in the Higashibessho Formation of Japan.
