Holocentridarum palasulcatus was named by Schwarzhans (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waihao River, south branch, which is in a Bortonian marine sandstone in New Zealand.
It was recombined as Holocentronotus palasulcatus by Schwarzhans (2019).
