Paraulopus miocaenicus
Taxonomy
Elops miocaenicus was named by Frost (1924). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S137/f499 - Rifle Butts Fm, Pukeuri, which is in an Altonian coastal sandstone in the Rifle Butts Formation of New Zealand.
It was recombined as Chlorophthalmus miocenicus by Schwarzhans (1980), Schwarzhans (1985); it was recombined as Paraulopus miocaenicus by Schwarzhans (2019).
