Taxonomy
Symphysurina bulbosa was named by Lochman (1964). It is not extant. Its type specimen is USNM 140813, a pygidium. Its type locality is 9,888'. Shell Oil Co. #43-22A Unit, Pine field, which is in a Gasconadian marine shale in the Deadwood Formation of Montana.
