Archaeotetraodon zafaranai
Taxonomy
Archaeotetraodon zafaranai was named by Carnevale and Tyler (2010). Its type specimen is MSNTC I-15761, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monte Gibliscemi, Mazzarino, which is in a Tortonian/Messinian marine horizon in the Terravecchia Formation of Italy.
