Ausonasynodus almerai
Taxonomy
Ausonasynodus almerai was named by Carnevale et al. (2019). Its type specimen is MGSB 81950, a partial skeleton (nearly complete articulated skeleton with S‐shaped vertebral column), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Múnter, which is in a Bartonian offshore shelf marl/sandstone in the Vic-Manlleu Marls Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Ausonasynodus.
