Taxonomy
Sibirecyathus was named by Vologdin (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Tomm-u Cm Boto-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1243].

It was assigned to Pycnoidocyathidae by Okulitch (1950); to Ajacicyathida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ajacicyathidae by Kerner et al. (2011).
