Taxonomy
Cavellina fosteri was named by Gliwa (2020). Its type specimen is ECO119, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AV028, Aras Valley section, which is in a Changhsingian marine shale in the Elikah Formation of Iran.
