R. L. Squires and L. R. Saul 2004Shell medium, subpryiform to elongate trigonal. Right valve slightly more inflated than left valve. Lunule deep. Commarginal ribs on left valve very weak to weak, and right valve covered with strong ribs. Keel well developed on juveniles, obsolete on mature specimens. Chrondophore inclined and spoon-shaped with long, narrow pit posteriorly adjoining it.
