Caestocorbula attina

Taxonomy

Caestocorbula attina was named by Squires and Saul (2004). Its type specimen is LACMIP 13128 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 25526, Big Tar Canyon, which is in a Turonian marine conglomerate in the Panoche Formation of California.

Diagnosis

R. L. Squires and L. R. Saul 2004	Very small Caestocorbula with left valve triangular, right valve subtrigonal. Commarginal ribs on left valve very weak, irregularly spaced; those on right valve very weak to weak, prominent, and with deep interspaces; ribs on right valve becoming stronger ventrally.
