Taxonomy
Globator aegyptiaca was named by El Qot (2021). Its type specimen is BU.TK.E99 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gebel El Tourkumanyia, bed 50, which is in an Albian carbonate marl in the Halal Formation of Egypt.
