Taxonomy
Pseudozygopleura applicata was named by Mazaev (2019). Its type specimen is PIN 5538/10-33, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shakhtau open pit, sample 10, which is in a Sakmarian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Shakhtau Reef Formation of the Russian Federation.
