Ceratiocaris (Colpocaris) was named by Meek (1872). Its type is Cancer bullatus.

It was replaced with Concavicaris by Rolfe (1961), Chlupáč (1963), Laville et al. (2021).

It was assigned to Ceratiocaris by Meek (1872).
