Taxonomy
Cyclobatis longicaudatus was named by Woodward (1942). Its type specimen is AUB C.413, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (AUB collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.
