Taxonomy
Eogeryon elegius was named by Ossó (2021). Its type specimen is MGB 69151, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Condemios de Arriba (Villa de Vés Fm), which is in a Cenomanian carbonate limestone in the Villa de Vés Formation of Spain.
It was considered a nomen nudum by Ossó (2016) and Schweitzer et al. (2018).
