Neomesturus asflaensis
Taxonomy
Neomesturus asflaensis was named by Cooper and Martill (2020). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMUK AK-PYC 3, a set of teeth (isolated vomer). Its type locality is Goulmima (BMNH collection), which is in a Turonian offshore shelf lime mudstone in the Akrabou Formation of Morocco. It is the type species of Neomesturus.
