Taxonomy
Chlamydoselachus goliath was named by Antunes and Cappetta (2002). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 6.7 km NW of Dombe Grande, which is in a Campanian marine horizon in Angola.
It was recombined as Rolfodon goliath by Cappetta et al. (2019).
