Acanthochirana cenomanica
Taxonomy
Acanthochirus cenomanicus was named by Glaessner (1945). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (BMNH collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.
It was synonymized subjectively with Acanthochirana smithwoodwardi by Garassino (1994); it was recombined as Acanthochirana cenomanica by Schweitzer et al. (2010).
