Phiomicetus anubis
Taxonomy
Phiomicetus anubis was named by Gohar et al. (2021). Its type specimen is MUVP 500, a partial skeleton (associated partial skeleton of a single individ- ual including the cranium, the right mandible, incomplete left mandible, isolated teeth, the fifth cervical, an), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Al Amaim, which is in a Lutetian marine shale in the Midawara Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Phiomicetus.
