Taxonomy
Crassatella saulae was named by Dailey and Popenoe (1966). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 4130, Jalama Creek, which is in a Campanian offshore sandstone/conglomerate in the Jalama Formation of California.
