Archaeotherium caninus

Osteichthyes - Entelodontidae

Taxonomy
Choerodon caninus was named by Troxell (1920) [genotype]. Its type specimen is YPM 11665, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is John Day Units G, H, I, and J, which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the John Day Formation of Oregon.

It was recombined as Archaeotherium caninus by Caroll (1988), Foss and Fremd (1998).
